Hotel/Lodging Recommendations
The closest airport from the venue of the conference is the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), approximately 8 miles (18-24 minutes) away from the venue of the conference and approximately 7 miles (16-22 minutes) from the Wharton School. The standard price for cabs is: $2.30 for the first 1/6th of a mile, $0.30 per 1/6 of a mile thereafter and $0.20 per minute of waiting time. From Philadelphia Int. Airport, cabs charge a fixed rate of $26.25 to Center City.
In addition, Amtrak trains run approximately every hour from Penn Station, New York (31st St & 9th Ave, New York) to 30th Street Station, Philadelphia (30th St & Market St, Philadelphia). The conference venue is approximately 3 miles (5-10 minutes) from 30th Street Station. If you are reaching JFK or Newark Airport, you could make reservations for a car from Boston Coach. Trips to Philadelphia are listed at $265 plus taxes and tips.
We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible to ensure availability. We recommend the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue - the venue of the conference. In addition, WIEF Logistics Chairs will gladly help with reservations once you choose your venue of lodging. We recommend booking online since such deals seem to be lower priced.
